A Weaver is the quiet architect of connection in a fragmented world.

Private formation creates the structure you need so that your role as architect is sustainable, not depleting.

What Is a Weaver?

A Weaver is someone with an unusual sensitivity to the relational fabric of life.

In therapy language, Weavers are individuals who hold high relational intelligence, who sense and respond to unspoken dynamics, and who carry responsibility for harmony in systems — often without recognition or support.

You may be a Weaver if:

  • You notice patterns and hidden connections others overlook.
  • You feel the emotional undercurrents of rooms, relationships, or organizations.
  • You’ve carried a lifelong sensitivity that has felt both gift and burden.
  • You find yourself serving as the glue in families, workplaces, or communities.
  • You feel unseen, lonely, or exhausted because you’re always the one holding it together.

The Psychological Dimension

From a clinical perspective, Weavers often:

  • Struggle with boundaries due to over-responsibility.
  • Confuse despair with depression — longing for meaning rather than biochemical imbalance.
  • Carry childhood wounds of invisibility, shame, or rejection.
  • Wrestle with limiting beliefs (“I am too much,” “I am not enough”).
  • Experience empathy fatigue or spiritual exhaustion.

The Mystical Dimension

At the same time, Weavers hold a sacred gift:

  • The ability to see beneath the surface of things.
  • A natural orientation toward healing, connection, and integration.
  • A deep longing to bring meaning and coherence into fragmented systems.
  • A spiritual calling — whether named or unnamed — that pulls them toward wholeness.

The Integration

To be a Weaver is not a diagnosis, but a way of being.
It is both sensitivity and strength, both childhood integration and adult vocation. Private formation for Weavers helps you transform wounds into wisdom, fatigue into resilience, and isolation into belonging.

Weavers need support that is sophisticated enough to provide formation without Diminishing Power.

You Are not broken. You are a weaver.

To be a Weaver is to turn sensitivity into sacred strength.

The Problem

You’ve carried a lifetime of Sight — noticing patterns others miss, holding unspoken dynamics in your body, tending to the invisible threads that hold people, teams, and systems together.
And yet, you’ve likely been misunderstood, underrecognized, or even punished for this gift.

As a professional, you may feel:

  • Cynicism creeping in, confusing despair with depression.
  • Spiritual fatigue or a quiet disconnection from meaning.
  • Loneliness in roles where few see what you see.
  • Shame for being “too much” or “too sensitive.”
  • Boundaries blurred by your desire to serve.
  • Old childhood wounds replaying in adult life.

What if these struggles are not signs of brokenness — but the formation of a Weaver?

The Guide

Dr. Cole LaTendresse, a licensed therapist, executive consultant, and founder of the CoWeaving Institute. Her clinical orientation integrates transpersonal psychology, existential and integral theory, schema therapy, and energy psychology, grounded in the humanist belief that we can restore wholeness by honoring both the mystical and the practical.

Dr. LaTendresse specializes in working with Weavers: sophisticated professionals, visionaries, and leaders who hold unseen responsibility for the relational field. Her work helps Weavers reframe childhood wounds as initiation, integrate their gifts into adult life, and claim the authority of their sacred role without burning out.

The Plan

Through therapy you will:

  1. Name the Unseen — Recognize your Weaver identity and the invisible labor you’ve been carrying.
  2. Integrate the Wounds — Reframe trauma as formation; understand the “witch wound,” shame, and limiting beliefs as part of your becoming.
  3. Reclaim Authority — Build boundaries, heal cynicism, and develop resilience to lead and love without depletion.
  4. Restore the Sacred — Reconnect with humanist spiritual care, mystical meaning, and the energetic dimensions of being alive.
